This Week’s Colmcille GFC Club Notes


50/50 Draw

Congratulations to Charmaine Hetherton, who won €2,215 in last week’s 50/50 Draw. The previous week’s winner was Seamus Mulligan, who took home €2,435. A sincere thank you to everyone Paddy’s Bar, with the jackpot once again expected to exceed €2,000. Tickets can be purchased online or in local shops and pubs, and we wish everyone the very best of luck.

Quarterly Members Draw

Congratulations to Grace McGauran, who was the lucky winner of the second half of the jackpot in our first Quarterly Members Draw. This special members-only draw ran alongside last week’s 50/50 and proved to be a great success. Thank you to all members for your continued support and for ensuring your membership was completed in time to be included.

Senior Football

Our Senior team recorded a strong 1-12 to 0-10 victory over St. Mary’s Granard in Round 2 of the All County Football League Division 1 last Saturday in Fr. McGee Park. Well done to the players and management on a solid performance. Attention now turns to Round 3, where Colmcille travel to Allen Park to take on Clonguish on Saturday evening at 7:00pm. All support would be greatly appreciated.

Under 18 Football

Our Under 18 side continue their Development Series campaign this Monday evening when they host Killoe Óg in Fr. McGee Park at 7:00pm. Best of luck to the players and management as they continue their season.

Under 16 Football

Well done to our Under 16 team who recorded an excellent 6-16 to 5-4 win away to Killoe Óg last Thursday evening in Round 3 of the Division 2 League. It was a strong team performance with plenty of positives to build on as the season progresses.

Under 14 Football

Our Under 14 Division 2 team travel to Maguire Park on Thursday evening to take on Clonbroney at 7:00pm in Round 2 of their league campaign. Our Under 14 Division 1 team are also in action this weekend, when they face Granard on Saturday morning at 11:00am in Ballybrien. Best of luck to both panels and their management teams.

Under 12 Football

Our Under 12 team begin their Mini Football League campaign this Friday evening with an away fixture against St. Patrick’s Óg in Keenan Park, with throw-in at 7:00pm. We wish the players and mentors the very best of luck as they get their season underway.

Underage Training

We are delighted to welcome boys and girls back for another season of fun, games and football. Training for Under 6, Under 8 and Under 10 players commenced on Saturday April 11th at 9:30am in Fr. McGee Park. Thank you to all the coaches and parents involved in getting the kids out training for  the coming year ahead!
