Club News:
Looking for a fun way to stay active this winter? Join our Adult Set Dancing Class on Mondays at 8 PM in the Community Centre! No experience? No problem! This isn’t just for Scór — it’s a great way to enjoy some exercise, meet new people, and have fun, with no pressure to perform on stage! Spread the word to anyone who might be interested. For more details or to join, contact Grace: 087 796 2558

Colmcille GFC is delighted to announce the return of our second annual St. Stephen’s Day Walk. Last year, this event raised over €2,200 for two deserving charities. This year, proceeds will go toward supporting the Autism Unit at St. Colmcille’s NS. The walk will take place along the scenic Aughnacliffe Heritage Trail on December 26th, starting at 12 noon from the Colmcille Community Centre. Refreshments will be served afterwards, and donations are optional. Full event details can be found on our social media pages.

Congratulations to Frank and Karen Convey on their wedding day last Friday 20th December! Colmcille GFC would like to extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes. Karen has been a key player for our senior ladies, showcasing her dedication and skill, while Frank has recently brought his talent and commitment to our junior team after transferring from Strokestown. We hope Frank and Karen enjoyed every moment of their wedding day surrounded by loved ones and cherished memories.

As the festive season approaches, we want to take a moment to reflect on the year gone by and send our warmest wishes to all the players, members, supporters, and the wider Colmcille community. 2024 has been a year of hard work, commitment, and shared triumphs for Colmcille GFC. We’ve seen tremendous effort both on the pitch and behind the scenes, with every one of you playing a vital role in making our club a special place. Your dedication to our club, whether through cheering us on at matches, volunteering your time, or supporting us in so many other ways such as the 50/50 draw, has been brilliant. This Christmas, we want to thank you for your continued support, loyalty, and enthusiasm towards our club.
