Colmcille GFC extends our commiserations to our neighbors in Arva, who narrowly fell short against a highly esteemed Ballinderry (Derry) team in the Ulster Intermediate Final on Saturday last in Omagh. Despite the result, the Arva team can take immense pride in their outstanding performances over the past 18 months. They have represented their club and community with great distinction.
Colmcille GFC is delighted to announce the return of our second annual St. Stephen’s Day Walk. Last year, this event raised over €2,200 for two deserving charities. This year, proceeds will go toward supporting the Autism Unit at St. Colmcille’s NS. The walk will take place along the scenic Aughnacliffe Heritage Trail on December 26th, starting at 12 noon from the Colmcille Community Centre. Refreshments will be served afterwards, and donations are optional. Full event details can be found on our social media pages.
Congratulations to Gavin McGauran, Sonnagh, and Hannah Rushe on their recent marriage in Gweedore, Co. Donegal. Everyone at Colmcille GFC wishes them a lifetime of happiness together.
A big congratulations to Ballymore clubman Derek Fahy on being named the 26th Chairperson of the Longford County Board. It’s a proud moment for Derek and his club, and we have no doubt he’ll bring great energy and dedication to the role. Best of luck to him as he takes on this important position!
