This Week’s Colmcille GFC Club Notes

50/50 Draw:
Our 50/50 Draw took place last Monday, the 25th in Murtagh’s Bar. We want to thank everyone who participated in the draw. Congratulations to Mike Delplato (USA), the lucky winner of our €1,600 jackpot. You can enter the 50/50 draw by purchasing envelopes at any local shop or pub or by entering online. The link can be found on any of our social media platforms.

Club News:
A huge congratulations to the Colmcille Ladies Minor team for their victory over Longford Slashers in the Minor B Championship final, with a final score of 2-05 to 6-07. The girls delivered an outstanding performance, and we want to congratulate them and celebrate their success. We also extend our congratulations to the management and background team: Dermot Murphy, Fiona Murphy, Ciaran Farley, Colm Kilbride, Michelle Hall, and Phil Mulligan. Well done to everyone involved!

Colmcille would like to wish Norman and Michelle Hall the very best of luck with the opening of their new pub, The Hill Top Bar. Norman and Michelle have been great supporters of our club and the ladies’ club, most recently sponsoring our minors this year and previously serving as the main sponsors of our senior team.

Exciting news! Gaelic 4 Mothers and Others is starting in Colmcille. This fantastic initiative offers a fun, non-competitive way to get involved in Gaelic football, meet new people, and stay active. For more information, contact the Ladies Club or check out Colmcille Ladies’ social media pages. We wish everyone taking part the very best of luck as they kick off this new venture. Get involved and enjoy the journey!

Colmcille GFC is delighted to confirm the retention of our senior management team from 2024 for the 2025 season. Led by Ger Carberry as manager, with Ryan Casey (Gowna), Mark Kiernan (Colmcille) and Padraig Murtagh (Colmcille) as selectors, the team will continue to build on the great progress made this year. We wish them every success in the season ahead and look forward to their continued dedication to the development of our players and the club.

We would like to extend our best wishes to our neighbors in Arva as they prepare to compete against Ballinderry in the 2024 Ulster GAA Football Intermediate Club Championship Final. The match is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 7th, at 5 PM at O’Neill’s Healy Park in Omagh. Best of luck to all involved from Colmcille GFC.
