Club News:
The Colmcille GFC AGM took place on Saturday, November 23rd, in Fr. McGee Park. The meeting provided a detailed review of the past year’s activities, highlighting significant achievements both on and off the field. Key milestones from our secretaries’ report and chairperson’s report for 2024 included notes on our senior team reaching the county final, a strong showing from our underage teams, the retention of the senior management team for 2025, and the success of our 50/50 draw. The club also acknowledged the dedication of volunteers and coaches, whose commitment has been instrumental to these accomplishments and once again opened the door to anyone who wants to get involved in any capacity. The Treasurer’s report confirmed the club’s solid financial standing despite the club deciding to forego a membership fee for 2024. Thanks are extended to everyone who supported fundraising efforts throughout the year. Plans for 2025 include further development of facilities and expanding youth programs, with the potential of a large fundraiser also on the cards. We would like to thank our outgoing officers for their hard work and dedication over the years and welcome new officers to the executive committee. The list of 2025 club officers will be published soon on social media and the club website. Colmcille GFC thanks all players, members, and supporters for their continued commitment, and we look forward to another successful year in 2025.

Exciting news! Gaelic 4 Mothers and Others is starting in Colmcille. This fantastic initiative offers a fun, non-competitive way to get involved in Gaelic football, meet new people, and stay active. For more information, contact the Ladies Club or check out Colmcille Ladies’ social media pages. We wish everyone taking part the very best of luck as they kick off this new venture. Get involved and enjoy the journey!

Best of luck to our Minor Ladies and their Management Team as they take on Longford Slashers in the Minor B Championship Final next Sunday, December 1st. The team has shown incredible dedication and determination throughout the season, and we encourage everyone to come out and support them on this big day. Let’s cheer them on as they strive to bring the title home and finish the season on a high note. Colmcille Abú!

Well done to Arva on their impressive victory over Magheracloone in the Ulster Intermediate Club Semi-Final. They now have a second Ulster Final in as many years to look forward to, where they will take on Ballinderry. Fixture details are to be confirmed. Best of luck to the team and management in the final!

Condolences:
Colmcille GFC would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and relatives of the late John Donnelly, Glenmore, whose funeral will take place on Tuesday at 12 pm in St. Colmcille’s Church, Aughnacliffe.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
