This Week’s Colmcille GFC Club Notes
Match Results:
Our senior team did a great job by defeating Rathcline 2-13 to 0-08 in the senior football championship last Sunday afternoon. Well done to the lads on a great win, ensuring we finished 2nd in Group A. We now look forward to a quarter-final vs Mullinalaghta on 14/15th September.
Our junior team achieved a fantastic victory against Clonguish in the Junior Football Championship last Wednesday, with a score of 3-12 to 0-07 in Fr. McGee Park. This meant two wins in four days for our juniors and now provides them with a good opportunity to advance to the knockout stage if they can get a result in their final game vs Slashers. Well done to the team and management.
Hard luck to our U14s who lost in the Under 14 Football A Championship against St. Dominic’s last Monday, with a final score of 2-10 to 1-04.
Well done to our minors who earned a tough draw in round 2 of the Minor Football Championship League Stages vs Granard last Tuesday, with a final score of 2-10 to 1-13.
Massive well done to our U16 team who last Wednesday defeated Ballymahon Forgney Carrick Sarsfields in the Under 16 Football League Division 2 Shield Final at a scoreline of 3-08 to 0-11. Well done to the team and management.
