50/50 Draw:
Our 50/50 Draw took place last Monday, the 6th in The Hilltop Bar. We want to thank everyone who participated in the draw. Congratulations to Frances & Paul Kennedy, the lucky winners of our €1,720 jackpot. You can enter next week’s 50/50 draw by purchasing envelopes at any local shop or pub or by entering online. The draw will take place in Paddy’s bar on Monday 13th. The link can be found on any of our social media platforms.
Club News:
The Every Step Counts initiative is well underway, and Colmcille GFC currently ranks 55th in Leinster. There’s still plenty of time to make a difference and improve our standing, so we’re encouraging everyone to get involved. This is a fantastic opportunity to stay active, promote health and well-being, and help the club at the same time. By signing up and logging your steps, you’ll contribute to our overall total and give us a chance to win prize money for the club. Whether it’s a walk, jog, or run, every step you take counts towards our position!
Colmcille GFC are delighted to announce the launch of a new fundraising initiative that also promotes environmental sustainability. Our club now has a Deposit Return bin located on the grounds (beside the dressing rooms) where you can donate empty bottles and cans marked with the Re-turn logo. Once the bin is full, the contents will be taken to a Deposit Return machine, allowing us to raise vital funds for the club. This initiative will help to keep Fr. McGee Park clean while also contributing to the club in a small way! Thank you for your continued support!
Colmcille GFC sends warmest wishes to Bishop Emeritus Colm O’Reilly, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday. A proud Colmcille native, Bishop Colm marked this incredible milestone at a special Mass in the Cathedral last weekend, where the choir honoured him with a heartfelt birthday song. The former Bishop has always been a cherished member of our club, and we wish him continued good health, happiness, and countless blessings as he celebrates his 90th birthday.
Membership options for the upcoming season will be available soon and will be shared on our website and social media platforms. We are excited to announce that payments will once again be accepted conveniently through the club app, making the process quick and easy for everyone. Membership is a vital part of supporting the club, and we encourage all members, both new and returning, to register early. Our senior team is delighted to launch their annual National League Predictor player fundraiser, which is back and better than ever this year! With exciting new updates, this year’s competition promises to be even more enjoyable and competitive. Participants will have the chance to test their knowledge of the national leagues while competing for weekly prizes and an overall grand prize.
