Club News:
A massive thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Frankie Murphy U12.5 Tournament such a brilliant success! With 16 teams from three provinces, the day had it all – sunshine, high-quality football, and a BBQ to match. Huge thanks to the referees, mentors, organisers, volunteers, BBQ team, and all the parents who gave their time to keep things running smoothly. Congratulations to our winners: Cup – Killinkere A, Shield – St Mary’s, Trophy – Mullahoaran, Plate – Gowna. Thanks again to all clubs who travelled and took part! Photos from the day are now available at: colmcillegfc.com!
Everyone at Colmcille GFC would like to extend our warmest wishes to all the boys and girls in the parish who celebrated their First Holy Communion on Saturday, 10th May. We hope it was a joyful day full of special memories with your family and friends.
Our U16s put in a great effort away to Southern Gaels on Monday, 5th May in Round 5 of the Division 2 League. Despite a strong showing, the lads came out on the wrong side of a high-scoring game: Southern Gaels 5-12 – 3-13 St. Colmcille’s. Plenty of positives to build on going forward.
Best of luck to our Minor team as they take on St. Patrick’s Óg in Round 4 of the U18 Development Series this Monday, 12th May at 7:30pm in Fr. McGee Park. All support welcome!
Well done to our U12s who delivered a superb performance last Friday, 9th May with a dominant win over Clonguish Gaels in Allen Park: Clonguish Gaels 0-4 – 0-29 St. Colmcille’s. Best of luck to the team again this Friday, 16th May as they welcome Ballymahon Forgney Gaels to Fr. McGee Park for Round 5 at 7:00pm.
Well done to our Division 3 team who picked up a strong win at home on Sunday, 11th May: Colmcille 4-16 – 2-9 Dromard. It was a confident performance from the lads, who now look ahead to Round 3 this coming Friday evening when they take on Longford Slashers at 7:45pm in Michael Fay Park.
