Our senior team picked up a well-earned win last Saturday evening in Fr. McGee Park in Round 4 of the ACFL Division 1, overcoming Carrickedmond on a scoreline of 0-16 to 1-12. A strong team performance saw us hold out for the two points in what was a tightly contested game. Our next match sees us take on Abbeylara this Saturday, May 3rd, at 7:00 PM in Oliver Lynch Park—best of luck to the lads in a repeat of last years County Final!
Our minors were back in action last Thursday evening in Round 3 of the U18 Development Series, hosting Killoe Óg in Fr. McGee Park. Despite a strong battling performance and some well-worked scores, the lads ultimately fell short on the night, with Killoe Óg pulling away to secure a 2-16 to 2-7 victory. The team showed great spirit throughout and will no doubt be looking to bounce back in their next outing.
Our U16s hosted Granard in Fr. McGee Park last Monday evening in Division 2 Round 4 of the league. Despite a spirited performance, St. Colmcille’s were defeated by 1-16 to 4-12. Well done to all the players for a strong effort, and onwards to the next challenge.
Our U14s are back in action this Monday evening, 28th April, in Round 3 of the Division 2 Football League. St. Colmcille’s will take on Killoe Óg at 7:00 PM in Fr. McGee Park. Best of luck to all involved!
